19 April Still in arches!
Well thanks to the connections we have we are still in arches and still enjoying all that is here to see!! I'm here marveling in nature and my thoughts wandered without choice to my dear friend Denise who just lost her son.
In the hours we spent lost in the beauty of nature in the Fiery Furnace, ones thoughts can't help but wander to the more profound actions of the world and everything in it. I felt small... The shear beauty of where we were and the profound amazement of what "God" could create makes one ponder... why such glory and travesty in the same day...I was small, then shrank even more.
Dear reader.. hug someone close to you and remember the amazing stuff next to you. I'm almost sad it took some magnifcient works of nature to realize how amazing every person in my life has touched me. Love you miss you more than normal. p.s. pics to follow

Next Stop...

12 April 2010 Arches National Park. Well hello again dear reader! Well, we climbed all over Valley of Fire for 10 days... Over red rocks, up and down dusty sandy trails for hours on end. It is probably one of the most beautiful paces I've seen. Nature at its finest. Petroglyphs and arches all over. I highly recommend anyone that finds themselves near there to make the effort to go there and at least drive around and see all you can. It's a short drive from Vegas so I know there's alot of you that pass near it :P
From there we went to Beaver Dam, AZ for a week to clean out the sand and dust from the rig and ourselves. Beaver Dam is a little spit of a town about 10 miles into AZ from Mesquite, NV. Not much to see but we did get a good cleaning and found some geocaches (boilermaker146)
From there we headed to Green River, Utah. Another little nothing town but a cheap place to sit out some crappy weather and wait til we could get into Arches. I managed to buy ALL the rum in town :) Not much of a feat LOL the local state liquor store had 1 26oz bottle of captain. That inspired a day trip to Moab to see what all was in store for us while we will be in the park. Neat little town, kinda reminds me of Jasper townsite. Neat little, quirky shops and restaurants. Can't wait to spend a bit more time there.
After that we headed into Arches National Park. We haven't seen alot yet. Took the jeep out on an interesting drive on some trails in the park and still have a couple more to see. The trails take you out to the middle of nowhere, nothing but rocks, sand and more geocaches lol. There was some sort of jeep rally here a week or so ago but we missed it. Not that my baby is geared up enough to keep up with the units we saw. Maybe next year! There's alot to see here and more red rocks and sandy trails to climb around on. Our friends, Alice & Robbie and Dick & Jackie, are camp hosts here so we have some great guides and tips from them! Cant thank them enough for helping us get in here to stay for a bit!
So we are looking at the weather for the journey north again. We haven't got any definite dates yet, but, we will be back in time for the family party on the May long weekend. Other than that no idea what the summer will bring for us! hehe We are having a hard time planning for tomorrow, lol. so you see Dear Reader, i can't see how to plan that far ahead!
So, I'll update again when there's more to tell. Miss you all!! Love and Hugs!!
