15 March 2010 Valley of Fire... WOW is all I can say. ok but recap of last couple weeks first :)
So we spent 3 weeks in Bullhead City, AZ, across the great Colorado River from Laughlin NV. We did take in some casino fun to kill some evening time. Not being gamblers and being in a gambling area is kinda silly,. but free Captain is always a good draw LOL We did go to the Riverside casino which is owned by Don Laughlin , for whom the city was named for. It kinda looked like the original carpets... We lost some money, had some drinks.. fun was had :)
While we were there Mr. Gary decided to finish up the solar system, and we installed 6 shiny new panels on the rig. We can now sit til all hours of the night watching tv and stuffs without running the genny. It's a nice treat to not have to have the volume blaring anymore hehe.
From Bullhead, we decided to move up the river a bit and hit Lake Mead. Basically, we went upstream the Colorado river about 10 miles :) Found a nice little state park outside Boulder City, NV. Boulder Beach was home for a week. Nice little park that allowed us to totally put the solar system to a true test. All went well :) Not much to see, closer to Vegas but again, not being gamblers... Checked out the lake, its big... with water.
So being bored with that we are now at Valley of Fire . A beautiful Nevada state park. Actually its spectacular!!! I actually have taken some pictures. The downside to beauty is lousy Internet. So once I get this posted I'm going to make a serious effort to sort through my pics and get some added in the right spots!
So Dear Reader, I promise you, this week I will update the whole blog and add pictures where needed (Gary says so LOL) I still miss you tons! Enjoy the reading *hugs*
